The John 14:6 Testimony ministry is the inspired work of  the Holy Spirit, as the Spirit selectively chose Prudencio D. and Cresencia D. (husband and wife) at the beginning of its formation in 1951. Both born in the Philippines, Prudencio and Cresencia are now in heaven, living in eternity with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John 14:6 was the Bible verse that converted Prudencio to Protestantism from a Roman Catholic Church background. Although Prudencio was a devout Catholic he agreed to marry Cresencia in a Protestant church only because of his overwhelming love for her, overlooking her Protestant faith. 

During their first year of marriage,Cresencia prayed persistently for her husband. One day, for no reason at all, Prudencio picked up the Bible that his wife regularly kept on their dining table. As he was flipping through the pages, he landed on the book of John.  He continued turning through its pages until the verse in John 14:6 stopped him. It says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the Way, the Truth and the LIfe. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"   He read it, and then read the same verse, again and again. That night Prudencio experienced a remarkable dream in which he saw a ball of fire above his head. Fire in the Bible is one of the signs of the Holy Spirit's presence. The following day, a Sunday, Prudencio attended a Protestant church with Cresencia for the second time during their marriage. As he continued reading and studying the Bible, Prudencio became increasingly convinced that Jesus Christ alone is the way to the Father. John 14:6 became the foundation of his faith, and the central message he would share with others.  He learned that Jesus and no other mediator was the only way to heaven, which was quite different from the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church  (Mary and "saints" intercessions).

Interestingly during Prudencio's time Catholics, unlike the Protestants, were not encouraged to read the Bible thus, Bible-reading was new to him. This was how Prudencio's dramatic conversion got started and he kept the faith until his death at the age of ninety-eight. During their lifetime, both of them won numerous  souls to Christ (mostly Catholics) using John 14:6 as the anchor verse. Additionally, two verses they also used in confirming John 14:6 were 1 Timothy 2:5-6, which says, "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (6) who gave Himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time."  (emphases added)

Decades later, one of their four sons felt called to continue the John 14:6 testimony, in honor of his parents. What began through the faith of Prudencio and Cresencia has now become a ministry dedicated to proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ through the words of John 14:6.

The ministry is based in the Unites States and supported by pastors and ministry partners in Panabo City, Davao, Philippines --  the place where Prudencio and Cresencia first met, fell in love and were married. Moreover, The John 14:6 Ministry is not affiliated with any church or religious organization and operates independently with the purpose of sharing the Gospel and directing people to the words of Jesus in John 14:6. This is more than a Bible verse. It is the testimony that changed a life, transformed a family, and continues to point people to Jesus Christ as the exclusive Savior of the world (John 3:16).

Lastly, why John 14:6? Simply because Jesus in this verse made His most exclusive statement: "No one comes to the Father except through Me." No other religious leader ever has made a claim like this as a verifiable truth!
